  • Retired Greenwich officer Liza Zack signed on in a new role as a civilian dispatcher for the Redding Police Department.
  • A 22-year-old Fairfield native, Robert Smith was  charged in connection with 16 Fairfield burglaries and others in Greenwich, Wilton and Redding during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
  • Redding figure skater, Brooklee Han, will represent Australia in figure skating at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
  • Weston's Hurlbutt Elementary School opened the kindergarten registration process for the 2014-15 school year.
