Sandra Connolly, 66, of Easton

EASTON, Conn. – Sandra Seem Connolly of Easton died June 21 at home following a battle with cancer. She was 66. 

Born Nov. 16, 1945, in Elmira, N.Y., she was the daughter of Richard and Margaret Seem. Connolly lived in Fairfield before moving to Easton in 1983. She received a bachelor's degree from Syracuse University. 

Connolly was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield, where she served as a deacon and elder. She enjoyed reading and had a passion for animal rescue. She also served the Fairfield Welcome Wagon and the Easton Region 9 PTA. 

She is survived by her husband, R. Kenneth Connolly; a daughter, Kelly Elizabeth Connolly, of Randolph, Vt.; two sons, Christopher Kenneth (Elizabeth) Connolly, of Easton, and R. Kevin Connolly, of Denver; a sister, Martha S. Banghart, of Whitehall, Md.; and a grandson. She was predeceased by a daughter, Kristen Michelle Connolly. 

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield, with the Rev. Dr. Edward Duffy officiating. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private. Spear-Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pastor's Discretionary Fund, First Presbyterian Church, 2475 Easton Turnpike, Fairfield, CT 06825, American Cancer Society, 38 Richards Ave., Norwalk, CT 06854, or to a local animal shelter.
