To the editor:

I’ve had the honor of working with our State Sen. Toni Boucher over the past several years; and as every day goes by I become more impressed with the way she balances her personal life, her commitment to her job, and her legislative business. Sen. Boucher has made education a central part of her advocacy and I was encouraged to learn that Toni, once again, was honored as Children’s Champion by the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance for her work to promote early childhood education.

As a WestConn senator and representative to the Board of Regents, I have also come to know that Sen. Boucher is a leading proponent of making sure that students can Learn Here and Live Here by proposing legislation to do something about reducing the high tuition costs for our public colleges and universities, and assuring all students are protected in sexual assault cases. Voters of the 26th District, have the opportunity to reelect one of the hardest working legislators I have ever met and send Sen. Boucher back to Hartford to work for us.

John Board
