Simon Billig, 46, of Steep Hill Road in Weston was arrested on a warrant Monday afternoon in Fairfield.
An employee at Switzer’s pharmacy in Southport reported receiving a suspicious prescription in January, police say. The slip appeared to have been altered to extend the prescription’s valid dates, according to police reports.
The doctor’s office that issued the prescription confirmed that it had been changed without authorization, police say.
Billig was charged with two counts each of second-degree forgery and misuse of a prescription. He was released on a $2,000 bond, and is due in court Feb. 14.
