Noella Sidarweck, 93, Bridgeport Resident

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Longtime Bridgeport resident Noella Charpentier Sidarweck, who was born on Christmas Eve in 1922, died early on New Years Day, Friday, Jan. 1. She was 93.

Sidarweck was trained and worked as a hairdresser, and also worked with La Resistance, a manufacturing company, as a restaurant hostess and in catering. She was a talented seamstress and loved to knit.

She is survived by daughters Paullette and her husband Louis Todisco, and Pamela and her husband Thomas Buzi; grandchildren Jill and husband Eric May, Joseph Todisco, Adam Buzi and wife Jennifer Malandra, Todd Buzi and Amy Todisco; great-grandchildren David, Preston and Logan May, and Ashton and Layla Buzi; and many nieces and nephews.

Sidarweck was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Joseph Sidarweck; her parents, George Charpentier and Helen Asselin Charpentier; a sister, Rita McDougall; a son-in-law, Thomas Buzi; and a grandson, Todd Buzi.

Visiting hours will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at the Commerce Hill Radozycki Funeral Home, 4798 Main St., Bridgeport. A Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Route 111, Monroe. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in Trumbull.
