‘Truly One Of The Good Guys:’ Lifelong Hunterdon County Resident David Barnes Dies At 34
Lifelong Hunterdon County resident David Barnes died at his home in Flemington on Thursday, Dec. 29. He was 34.
Born in Flemington, David was raised in Delaware Township, where he attended Delaware Township School and learned to embrace the outdoors, his obituary says.
David was described as a “gentle soul, kind to everyone he met,” though he still loved exhilarating activities like mountain biking and camping.
He could also often be found cooking, gardening, or learning about history through novels and movies, his memorial says.

Devoted Lehigh Valley father, waterproofing company owner, and karate blackbelt Brock H. Schneck died at his home on Tuesday, Sept. 13. He was 39.
Born in Allentown, Brock attended Northampton High School, where he played varsity baseball for three years before graduating in 2001, his obituary says.
Brock went on to own his own waterproofing company. He had been working in the business since he was just 14 and had taken incredible pride in his work, his website says.
Brock loved mountain biking, BMX, and snowboarding. He had even earned his blackbelt in karate, according to his memorial. …

The community is mourning the death of a 17-year-old Fairfield County student-athlete who is being remembered by friends and family as being an avid lover of the outdoors.
Darien resident Matthew Barket McEvoy died on Thursday, March 31.
A Darien High School student, McEvoy played on the varsity lacrosse team, and enjoyed mountain biking, skiing, and had an interest in cars - both old and new.
