Norwalk Man Accused Of Dumping Dead Deer Carcasses In Wilton
A Fairfield County man has been accused of dumping at least 12 deer carcasses off a roadway.
Norwalk resident Eric Gray, age 50, was arrested on Thursday, April 14, after turning himself in at the Wilton Police Department on an arrest warrant, said Capt. Gregg Phillipson, of the Wilton Police.
"There were numerous reports of dead animal carcasses being dumped in the area of Old Huckleberry Road (in Wilton)," Phillipson said.
Gray, who owns a wildlife business in the area, would take the deer carcasses and dump the dead animals, he added.

High-Speed Chase Ends After Suspect Crashes Into Police Cruiser, Wilton PD Says
A Long Island man allegedly led police on a high-speed car chase before crashing into a police cruiser in Fairfield County, then continued his escape on foot before he was ultimately tasered, police said.
Nassau County resident Zahid K. Patwary, of Woodbury, began evading police on Westport Road in Wilton on Sunday, Sept. 26 at approximately 7 a.m., according to the Wilton Police Department.
After crashing his vehicle into a police cruiser, police said, he ran down Route 7, where he tried to get into the passenger seat of a vehicle stopped at a red light.

Sopranos Star Struck By Porsche While Taking Walk With Family In Fairfield County
Joe Pantoliano, one of the stars of The Sopranos, was reportedly rushed to the hospital on Friday after being struck by a car in Fairfield County.
The incident happened Friday evening, May 1 in Wilton, Pantoliano's wife, Nancy Sheppard, told TMZ.
She said the family had been out for a walk in their neighborhood when the Porsche was T-boned by another vehicle.
Pantoliano, 68, suffered injuries to his left leg and shoulder and a gash to his head, after the force of the crash caused him to collide into a nearby wooden fence.

Man Arrested For Forgery, ID Theft From Local Business, Police Say
A man wanted for allegedly fraudulently cashing payroll checks from a Fairfield County business has been arrested on a warrant.
Mandel Bidone, 29, of Ansonia, was arrested on Saturday, April 25, by the Wilton Police Department, following an investigation into the event that took place in January, said Lt. Robert Kluk.
Bidone was taken into custody without incident and charged with identity theft, forgery, and criminal attempt at larceny.
He was released on a promise to appear ticket and is scheduled to appear in court on June 10.
Missing Wilton Man Found Dead
A 53-year-old missing Fairfield County man has been found dead by police.
Todd Davies, 53, of Wilton, who was reported missing on Wednesday, Jan. 8, was found dead on Thursday, Jan. 9, said Wilton Police Capt. Robert Cipolla.
Cipolla said Davies was found dead around 10 a.m. but did not offer where he was located.
The Wilton Police Department with the assistance of the Wilton Fire Department, Wilton CERT, and neighboring law enforcement and fire agencies had been working to located Davies since he was reported missing, Cipolla said.
