Covid-19: Employee Tests Positive At Weston School District Another staff member at a Fairfield County school has tested positive for COVID-19, officials said. In an email to parents on Thursday, Oct. 29, officials said that the Weston Intermediate School staffer's case was believed to be contracted off school grounds. Alert Issued After Bobcat Sightings Reported Near Two Schools In Weston Two schools have cut recess for the week after a pair of bobcat sightings were reported. Officials with the Weston Public Schools sent out a letter to parents after they were warned by police about the sightings. The bobcat or cats were seen near the lower end of the Hurlbutt Elementary School and the Weston Intermediate School. The town's animal control officer, Mark Harper, who surveyed the area on Tuesday, said he plans to put up game cameras to try and locate the animals.
