Deadly Car Crash On Nantucket Leads To Charges For Fairfield Woman: Police
A Long Island woman has died following a car crash in a parking lot on Nantucket in Massachusetts, authorities said.
Stacey J. Rosen, 62, of Atlantic Beach, was walking through a parking lot outside a Stop & Shop grocery store in downtown Nantucket on Monday, June 29 when she was struck, the local police department said.
Rosen died later from her injuries, the Nantucket Police Department announced Friday, July 10.

Free Danbury Concert To Showcase Mozart, Joaquin Turina, Florence Price
A free lunchtime concert in Danbury will feature faculty from the Danbury Music Centre’s Summer Chamber Music Workshop performing works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Florence Price and three other composers.
The concert is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the United Jewish Center.
According to the Danbury Music Centre’s event listing, violinists Heather Braun and Joana Genova will perform alongside violist Ariel Rudiakov and cellist Liam Veuve.
The program will include chamber music by Mozart, Price, Joaquín Turina, Elena Kats-Chernin, and Ervin Rouse.

A Long Island powerlifter bilked more than $100,000 through disability payments while competing in professional competitions, authorities said.
Raymond Phillips, 40, of Huntington Station, pulled off the fraud between 2021 and 2024, the New York Attorney General’s office said.
Phillips said he suffered a serious injury while weightlifting in 2018, rendering him unable to work or perform routine activities without help, investigators said. He applied for state disability payments and was approved in May 2021, according to authorities.

Parents are the top role models for children ages 4 to 12, according to a survey published Thursday, July 9, by Talker Research and commissioned by Kiddie Academy.
