NY Jail Guard Attacked By Teen Prisoner, Suffers Eye And Neck Wounds: Police
A teenage Capital Region prisoner assaulted a jail guard and another inmate, police said Sunday, Aug. 2.
J’von M. Flores, 19, of Halfmoon, was behind bars in Saratoga County jail when he injured the guard in the eye, neck, chest, and leg on Tuesday, July 21, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said. The guard was treated at a local urgent care facility.
Flores intentionally assaulted another prisoner, then prevented the guard from intervening and attacked him, investigators said. He was arraigned on two counts of second-degree assault and remains held without bail, according to authorities…

2 Men, Teen Charged With Murder In Fatal Stabbing Of New York 18-Year-Old
More than a month after an 18-year-old was found fatally stabbed on a New York street, police have arrested three people in connection with his killing.
Denis A. Gonzalez Sorto, 21, of Hempstead, Isaac Lopez Alvarez, 20, of Hempstead, and a 17-year-old adolescent offender have each been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Michael David Grajeda Suazo, according to Nassau County Police in an update issued Saturday, Aug. 1.
The arrests stem from the fatal stabbing that happened around 9:25 p.m. Sunday, June 28, outside 545 Fulton Ave. in Hempstead.
