A Lancaster man was arrested after officers found him carrying a stolen firearm during a traffic stop, and days later, a search warrant led to his capture, city police announced on Friday, Feb. 21.
Misael Torres, 19, of the 1000 block of Marshall Ave, was pulled over in a Toyota Corolla at 2:56 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, for a turn signal violation, police said. During the stop, officers discovered both Torres and his 16-year-old passenger were armed. One of the firearms was reported stolen.

Driver Ejected, Killed In Rollover Lexington Park Crash: Sheriff
A violent crash in Lexington Park left a 59-year-old woman dead after she was ejected from her vehicle when it overturned, according to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, near the Crossroads Apartments on Great Mills Road, when a 2015 Nissan Armada slammed into the back of a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt, authorities said.
Zykera Sharnae Shubrooks-Nunley, 20, was behind the wheel of the Nissan when she struck the Chevrolet, operated by Kathy Mae Davis, 59, investigators said.Both drivers are from Lexington Park.
