Sunny Labor Day In Fairfield County Marks Unofficial End Of Summer
GREENWICH, Conn. — Hundreds flocked to Greenwich Point on a hot and sunny Labor Daym including twin brothers Ivan and Julian Basurto, 22, and their sister Camille, 24, from Wilton.
The siblings' grandparents, Gerard and Paula Munera, live in Cos Cob. They hit the beach after first visiting with their family.
"It's the nice day and it's the end of summer, so we decided to come" to the beach, Julian said.
"It's the biggest beach around us and it's the nicest," Julian said, adding that he wasn't surprised by the large crowd.

Stamford Man Wielding Machete Charged With Making Death Threats
STAMFORD, Conn. -- As a 37-year-old man cowered in fear behind a locked closet door, a drunken man repeatedly slid a machete under the door and threatened to kill him, Stamford police said.
Edgar E. Arriaga-Martinez, 21, of 6 Stephen St., was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, carrying a concealed weapon and second-degree threatening. His bond was set at $10,000 in connection with the incident early Saturday. His court date was set for Sept. 18.
