BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The Connecticut Alliance of YMCAs has named state Rep. Steve Stafstrom, D-Bridgeport, as its legislative champion. For four years Stafstrom served as vice chairman of the board of managers at the Alpha Community Services YMCA, a branch of the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA, one of the state’s largest providers of supportive housing. Westport, Conn. - Westport’s annual Tree Lighting ceremony will take place at Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave., on Friday, Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. The Staples High School Orphenians will perform a selection of seasonal songs. BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The Black Rock Food Pantry — and the hundreds of families it serves — had much to be thankful for this holiday season.
